Watch It online !!!

It's on Hulu and Fancast now!

How funny! I am watching it on Hulu right now and I just came here to see if I was correct about when it was first released!

The version that I'm watching is in very good shape (DVD quality and looks so much better than my old videotape.) Of course, now MGM is having money problems, so it may be even longer before we see an official DVD release.

I live in the Seattle area and have seen this live every other year for the past 24 years. I love the movie version but I'm not a big fan of the narration. Other than that, it's the next best thing to seeing it live.

How does the stage version end? They can't propel Clara and the Nutcracker in the air and let them freefall on the stage. That can only be done on film.

It's basicly the same as the movie, but instead of having them freefall in the air; they just dance around and then nutcracker leaves the stage, as if abandoning Clara. Clara runs all over the stage looking for him and then she wakes up and lies back done. Ballet over.
