Release this on DVD!! For goodness sake!! Release it around Christmas for $5, but please keep the picture quaility nice...AND in widescreen! These ballet sequences would be WICKED in widescreen! PLEASE! I'm BEGGING YOU!!

If this is the piece I believe it is, I STRONGLY agree with these people. As a child, I wore out three VHS's of this movie... watching it over and over and over and over all through the years. Every year I would watch it and every few years, I would have to record a new tape! This is such a piece of my childhood... such a large part. I was ill one Christmas, recently, and was up very early in the morning and this just happened to be on... it was such a wonderful present!
Please, please, please... release this to DVD, Atlantic. It would be amazing for this to be preserved for future generations!
I also agree with the above posts. This film has been enjoyed by my whole family for years. I treasure the one copy I have. Both of my girls danced in productions of "The Nutcracker" when we lived in Germany during the 1980's, so this movie is very sentimental for them. How I would love to give my grown girls a DVD copy of this movie. We can only hope we are not the only people who understand the value of this version of popular ballet.
