Question about Elizabeth's friend

When Elizabeth's friend at work confessed to sleeping with her ex husband, why did the friend walk off looking angry? Elizabeth had suggested that they go out to dinner in the first place! When her friend told her what had happened she was like, "Oh, your mom will love him. Mine did."

She didn't appear sarcastic when she said this, she was actually being nice about it. Why did her friend stomp off? Did she want Elizabeth to lash out at her or appear hurt?

Suicide is like... the ultimate fück you.

Her friend was pissed off that Michael, the man she was crushing on, was entranced by Elizabeth. At the dinner party, she was trying to get his attention, but he was staring at Elizabeth and she was pissed off. So the friend sleeps with Elizabeth's ex as revenge. When Elizabeth wasn't upset, the friend felt thwarted.

Her behaviour was bitchy but damn, being Kim Basinger's best friend would likely demolish any woman's self-confidence. Best trade her in for Bates IMHO.

...so Liz comes out on the landing when Bruce comes to pick up Molly and she gives Bruce a long lingering look which he returns just to prove to herself she still had it because 9 1/2 weeks with John was demoralizing...
Liz took the high road and I'm glad she did because she was more than just a beautiful face....

I intend to live forever. So far so good.

I don't think she stormed off. She looked embarrassed and like she just wanted to 'run away' as soon as possible. It was embarrassment, not anger.

I didn't see her storm off or act bitchy at all. I wonder why others see that. I'm with you. She looked a bit awkward, that was all.

I think I'd have liked this movie just as well if not better with Margaret Whitton as the lead, frankly.
