Bible references removed but Aristole inserted?
I'm disappointed that they removed Adso relating his first sexual experience to the Song of Solomon (this being his only connection to sexuality) and turned it into unnecessary and an awkwardly quiet drawn out sex scene. The movie Keeping Mum (2005) did this much better with a vicar and I'm now wondering if Keeping Mum wasn't influenced by The Name of the Rose book.
I also would have liked to have seen Adso's dream showing different characters from the bible.
The amount of references they slip into Aristotle was comical if you already know the ending. Clearly they were trying to make sure the audience would get why a lost Aristole manuscript would be important. I don't recall the book being this blatant.
Really feels like they dumbed the movie down.
