I notice that fully half of the keywords make reference to the ONE sex scene in the movie. I realize the girl's very attractive, and Christian slater was really young, and there was a gay subplot...

But am I the ONLY one that noticed the book involved certain other things... like a book, poison, the church, monks, and a big fire?

It's just a sign of the times we live in. It's important to keep the act of procreation as an open an healthy topic, but some people seem to be obsessed with the topic in all its forms. That goes for some of the IMDB visitors as well.
