shareAgreed on both. A masterpiece of a film. And the performances were top notch. Beautiful settings and it literally made you feel like you were transported to the 14th century.
Crazy to think that Connery's career was doing so poorly at the time that Columbia Pictures didn't even want him involved and refused to finance it if he was in the lead. I can't imagine any other actor doing as well. No surprise he won the BAFTA for this.
