Beautiful Cinimatograhpy

This is one of the most visually stunning films I've ever seen in my life. Gorgeous!

I totally agree. The bleak mountain scenery, combined with sunsets, overcast skies (and/or fog), and the occasional wolf howling made it very foreboding.

AMEN! (no pun intended) Great film with a sardonic twist re: the Hurons' adoption of Christianity.

Warts and all, I'm glad I live in this century.

Completely agree, and it was all done without CGI. Peter Jackson should be humbled.

I agree. The cinimatography is beautiful in this film. The same goes for the music.

cosign, amazing movie the cinematography and acting is top notch

Even though I thought the story was a little uneven, and the acting stilted; I felt the cinematrography, coupled with the score, made up for all those failings.

Watching this film on a cold winter's night, makes it even more emotional, as if you can really feel the cold, the remoteness & the menacing threat lingering just out of your perepheral vision as the film slowly unravels.

They did a fine job with setting the mood; definitely no happy-clappy, Hollywood endings here, and thank God for that!

yes you can actually feel the cold. You really believe you are high in the mountains. And amazingly it was filmed in the vicinity of Rome, usually a place associated with sunshine and brightness
