Am I the only one who had hard time immersing himself to the experience because of thinking that any minute now James Bond is going to stop playing mr. calm detective, throw the robe away and reveal his tuxedo and gun?

Anyways, the film is very good and I'm glad I watched it.

I have no trouble accepting Sean Connery in non-James Bond roles since I saw him in a bunch of other films before I ever watched James Bond. I thought he did an excellent job as an intelligent detective-monk and wise mentor to young Christian Slater.
