Great Movie!

I really like The Mosquito Coast and actually think that this movie is totally underrated! It is unusual, it is complex and very well acted and photographed. Plus, I can very well relate to Allie's missionary antipathy ;-)
The Peter Weir, Harrison Ford, John Seale & Maurice Jarre combo did a great job again and I can also very much recommend to read the book by Paul Theroux!

Yup definitely. I like it as its not perfect, but its got a really unique, strange atmosphere and Ford really takes on a different role and its refreshing to see him play such a flawed character.

Mr. Ford has said on more than one occasion that it was the most satisfying movie he's ever been in.

And if you liked the movie, try reading the book! It's amazing!
