Ice to the Natives

You know I recently saw this movie again on demand and I have a question about the scene where he takes the ice to the natives. The last time I saw this was probably when it originally came out on video but didn't they make two trips to the natives? The first time the ice melts and he says they have to do it faster and the next time they make it. When I rewatched it the second trip was missing. Am I imagining this part?

I just watched it and didnt see them make a second trip, maybe it's in the book. Man, that ice would have blown their minds.

If reincarnated,I'd return to Earth as a killer virus to lower population levels.
