Bugs + wildlife and shaving.
The bugs would be unbearable. Ants and mosquitoes and what not. Didn't seem to borrow them, though. That struck me and kind of weak. What about snakes and such? Not to mention predators out there.
Also, what about shaving? Ford's beard didn't seem to come in much. Just a little at the end.
