Some questions

Perhaps those who have read the book may have more insight.

When he's trecking through the jungle to find the tribe to give them ice he says it's he first time that ice has melted there since creation. Seems to conflict with his views in general on religion. Does the book give any clarity?

When the bad guys are lurking around the camp and they start ogling his wife, which he sees happen, his response is to kill them. He didn't have much of a choice, given they had guns. What would you have done?

"Creation" doesn't necessarily have to imply that it was by a god.
