Isn't soup more nourishing than ice cream? The explanation of solid food ingestion difficulties does not hold. I believe that the allegorical meaning is more probable.

As another poster wrote further up about heroin addicts.
They have difficulty digesting solid food and usually have no desire to eat. Added to that, they have a very strong craving for sugar for its dopamine effect. The cold temperature also provides comfort to digestive tract.
Jesus, I actually thought she meant (perhaps jokingly) that she couldn't take hard food down her throat anymore after a year or two of performing lots of blow jobs on many men. A bit hard on the throat if you get my drift.
