Who else LOVES this movie??!!

I discovered this movie in the early 90's when I came across a used VHS copy (I still own it) and purchased it on a whim. My God, I couldn't believe how amazing it is, the abundant usage of 1980's UK iconography, Handmade Films produced it (I love their fun movie Nuns On The Run, and saw it with my daddy in 1990 at the theater when I was 11!)... that original cut on VHS isn't restored, it's grainy, gritty, magical, and best watched in the dark/at night time, absolutely amazing!

I love this movie too. I can so rarely say this about new films. I really enjoy Neil Jordan's work.

Wonderful film, Jordan's best.

When I first watched it, I thought that it was a good film but not a great one.

On repeated viewings, Mona Lisa has grown on me and become one of my favorites. Bob Hoskins' performance was spot-on, it's one of the best "character study" films that I've ever seen.

One of my favorites.

People don't change...we just get older

I also really liked the movie.

Hoskins was great.
Cathy Tyson really played her part well.
and Michael Caine can do anything.

Count me in.
