by the way, an even more jarring, amazing film about nuclear weapons (MUCH more powerful) is "Threads," a 1980s BBC made for television film by Barry Hines. It came out in about 1984 or so.... HEre it is, I found it:

Hey thanks for the info on the cool website. To bad after browsing the page for a week or two the FBI paid me a little visit. Luckily, they allowed me to rent Threads on VHS to watch in my dentention cell at the safe house. I'm guessing my collection of nuclear device manuals and army surplus I bought on eBay did'nt help my case any. Oh well, I got to go, it's time for another session with the sodium amytal injection.
