Should have a had a flash forward at the end

This movie should have flashed forward to show the main characters dying from radiation poisoning. That would have made it a more uplifting ending.

Weapons-grade plutonium is not much of a radiation hazard. It's only a weak alpha particle emitter. The rubber gloves that they depicted the main character using when he worked with the plutonium would have been more than sufficient.
