I'd have to say that the corniest line so far is when John is asking the boy, whatever his name is, is he wants to see a laser and John says "I have the sexiest laswer ever" or something like that. Seriously, no wonder he wasn't married. I wouldn't fall for a guy with a line like that.
sharelol it does sound a bit cheesy in retrospect, but really - a huge powerful laser is very sweet to the geek/nerd type.
That was before industrial cutting lasers were common, and before laser diodes cost a buck or two.
Lasers went from lab tech to commonplace in a few short years around when this film took place - but any laser that can cut a hole in a building is still pretty kick ass, although you're right - "sexy" is a very odd way to say it.
