I agree. I have a rare LP recording of the score. Great stuff! Mr. Scott is an underated composer. On the other side of the ape coin is his terrific score to "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan".

I LOVE this score. Amazing, gorgeous main theme, fantastic and exhilarating action music, brilliant orchestrations. Seriously one of the best scores of its year, and puts some of the action music better known composers were writing at that time to shame. This was my introducing to John Scott, and I am amazed I had not known of him previously. Be sure to check out some of his other fantastic scores: ANTONY & CLEOPATRA, MAN ON FIRE, LIONHEART, THE FINAL COUNTDOWN and GREYSTOKE: THE LEGEND OF TARZAN are all awesome with wonderful and highly memorable themes. I'm sure there's plenty more I'm yet to discover!
