This is in my opinion the best King Kong movie. It had the most developed plot, likable characters and nice ending. Think most would agree this is the order of best to worst Kong movies

I'd say my favorite is either the 1933 original, or the 1976 version. But this one is amongst my three favorites. I'd love this one since I was a kid. Seriously underrated movie.
Including the numerous animated movies, the worst could probably be KONG: KING OF ATLANTIS or THE MIGHTY KONG.

Man, why does everyone bash "Mighty Kong". I was babysitting my nieces/nephew one weekend, the boy is 9, the youngest girl 4, they all loved this movie and even for me as an adult it was pretty good to sit through, had some good Monster battles, dialogue wasn't too bad, songs were OK, it was a huge success in my book.

King Kong Lives - Gotta love it on the cheese level, plus amidst all the cheese there actually are some decent scenes where Kong gets to smash stuff
As for anything else containing Kong, not even worth rating for me, but by far the 2005 version is the worst thing ever featuring Kong.
I really like this version, full of action and its not super long like the others
