Miyagi and wife from 1st film

It's always bothered me that Miyagi was so distraught from the death of his wife in the first film but in the second he is in love with Yukie. He even sings her the song that he sings in memory of his wife. It's just something that was always under my skin about this movie.

Further proof that Miyagi is a world-class creep

I offer the following possibilities...

1. It is Miyagi's favorite song and he simply used it to express his emotions regardless of his current girlfriend.

2. Mrs. Miyagi was a rebound woman and he never really got over Yukie.

3. Miyagi was so drunk he forgot it was Yukie's song.

4. Miyagi is a two timer.

5. Miyagi is a terrible singer and that is the only song he has the confidence to sing.

6. Miyagi was working up the nerve to contact Yukie and asking his deceased wife for permission to get back with his former lover. He was singing the song to prove his love.

Miyagi dishonored Yukie because he tried to run off with her brother.....homosexuality was dishonorable, then, in Okinawa. Yukie did the right thing and broke her engagement with Sato in order to save her brother's reputation, after Miyagi had ruined it. Then Sato challenged Miyagi to a fight and MiyaGAY ran off to the US, leaving behind a betrayed best friend, a dishonored lady friend and a ruined gay lover (Yukie's brother), who subsequently jumped to his death at the Bonn Castle in a desperate attempt to end his own shame and suffering.
