Ive only just came in at the end of this visual monstrosity and cant complain enough about how bad its been. Pointless probably since the board is filled with comments about it, but i just have to get this off my chest lest I throw something expensive at the tv.

Special effects? Oh good god!
Script? bad enough to make you weep with the patriotic, macho bull.
Ending? Starts war with small country, kills hundreds of people, loses multi million dollar plane...has nothing done against him. WTF!

Im amazed they had sequels to this piece of made for tv crap.

I really cant say much more lest I froth at the mouth! Thank god the credits are rolling! Rant over!

Just saw it the other night too. Dont know why I bothered watching the whole thing. Terrible plot. Reagan era propaganda, and makes our military look incompetent. This makes Red Dawn look like band of brothers. Music he plays during his flying is some of the worst generic music ever used in a movie. This movie was pretty bad...

Well, you are obviously just a young "Kool Aid" drinking liberal (ha ha!). Too bad you have no concept of what things were like in the early to mid eighties. This film, while improbable, was a feel good movie, an inspiration, and testament to American resolve to right wrongs. The problem with liberals is that they are only happy when America is shown in a negative light, never positively. The theme of that movie permiated the eighties...right, over wrong. Get over yourself! Sip a little more kool aid, and say: "everything is going to be O.K.".

I, too, thought it was interesting how civilian kids were allowed to walk around government aircraft, much less able to borrow without permission. And I laughed everytime they had a floating, styrofoam Mig implode in the viewer's face. I never would have guessed that an F-16's machine guns could actually make a wooden watch tower EXPLODE!

The F-16 has an M61 Vulcan embedded near the port wing root and it spits out 20mm explosive shells at 6000 rpm (an astonishing ROF!), so it can make a wooden watch tower exp,ode, but not that huge.
