So how did it end?
I used to catch it on Showtime Beyond but it was cncled after Shin died. What happend with Lokie and Raul?
shareI used to catch it on Showtime Beyond but it was cncled after Shin died. What happend with Lokie and Raul?
shareLokie and Raoul fight against each other, and surprisingly,Loki's illness doesnt affect his awesome fighting skills...but he fails, since Raoul has become too strong. He deosn't kill his loved brother tho,and the King cries for the first time
anyway, some weeks later there comes Ryuga,Julia's brother,a mysterious fighter who apparently wants to kill Toki, severely injured because of his recent tremendous fight. He kidnaps him and Ken,totally enraged up,obliterates his whole army, his castle and Ryuga himself.A deading Ryuga then shows Toki to Ken,saying that he didnt kill him because it wasnt his purpose:he did it to fight against Ken and see if he was the new hope the world was waiting, and then realizes he was right
Tokie hugs Ryuga, and while watching the stars in the sky they both die with a little smile on their faces.
what ahppens next.Ken fights Raoul in the ultimate battle, and they are on the same level.Noone is going to prevail.Julia's still alive, but Raoul makes Ken believe she's dead. The fight goes on and on,both techniques are beyond perfection, every hit is history.Ken,at last, manages to penetrate Raoul's powerful "aura" and then the giant realizes he can't beat Ken.He caresses his face calling him "Little brother...",smiles and sends him to Julia, telling him that her illness has been slowed down by a special "tsubo" which guarantees her a few years more to spend with her love,Ken.Then he immolates, while Ken and Julia walk away to live their love finally together.Rin says "One day,he will back".And she was right, since Ken will indeed come back in Hokuto no Ken 2
Also about the end:
Rao gives his anger into Yuria (his spirit). This allows Yuria to live for a few years longer (Although in Hokuto No Ken 2, she lived for another 2 weeks or so.) This causes Rao's aura to be weakened and penatrated. Rao loves Yuria which allows him to finally feel sadness due to her dying. This enables Rao to gain Muso Tensei, but this also is Rao's downfall because his love for Yuria forces him to give his powerful anger aura. This is why in the final battle, Kenshiro penatrates Rao's aura so easily.
Rao in fact, since he learns Muso Tensei, is also a Heritor of Hokuto (Stated by Rihaku). When Kenshiro leaves, after Rao gives his final energy into the sky (and brings light back to the world, and in the manga he brings life back to the planet), he says that Rao can live as the Heritor of Hokuto.
Rao is the greatest fictional character to be created. His end is the most epic and emotional of all time. Long live Ken-Oh!
the only problem i see with this anime is that all villains become good guys when they are about to die.
sharehaha, yeah. But it adds a lot of deep to their presonalities..it's basically all about redemption
shareNot all the villians look like "good guys". The character of Yuuda (Rei's
former mate) is an extremely violent and brutal villain (kills Mamiya's
parents right there and makes her part of his sex slave connection). He dies
at the end but only Rei really cares. However you are right the writers often
try to give these guys a scene or two so they won't come out as completely evil.
It all depends how you look at it. Shin and Rao did some horrible things that are beyond forgiveness but they have their moments of humanity.
yeah but you know his backstory? Yuuda was gay- no jokes- he fallen in love with Rei when they were studying at Nanto academy- and he hated him at thge same time because Rei's technics were so beautiful compared to his
for all his life he built a mask trying to cancel his love for Rei, surrounding himself by women (he must not have even touched em once) and seeking for revenge.Yuuda confesses his love when hes about to die
