Characters Straight Out of the DSM?

Was Woody hip to the descriptions of the personality disorders Theodore Millon first developed for the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Psychiatric Disorders in the '70s? One thing's for sure. The guy knew hysteria, hypochondria, narcissism, schizoidism, passive aggression, avoidance, dependence, paranoia, interpersonal sociopathy, sadomasochism and even borderlinism about as well as any veteran pshrinque. His characters are sooooo dead on. Perhaps nowhere more so than in "H&HS," though.
