possible unlisted movie goof

Here's a possible (continuity?) goof that I didn't notice until my 6th or so viewing of this movie.

The scene where Hunt was talking to the Japanese manager that took away Oogie's newspaper. This Japanese manager said "No newspaper!" and Hunt said "Yeah, OK", gave a weird look with his face, and began walking away to talk to Kazihiro in his office.

The very next scene, four Japanese managers are crouched over a model of a Red car (I think it's a Pontiac Firebird Transam or something very similar) and the rear wheel falls off. One of them says "American car" and they all chuckle. Then Hunt, still walking on his way to see Kazihiro, encounters them.

The same Japanese guy from the first scene, that said "No newspaper!", is one of the four Japanese managers in this second scene.

So, presumably, the timeline differential between the first scene and second one is maybe 15 or 20 seconds. However, the same Japanese guy is in both.

How did he get all the way from the manufacturing plant floor to the design/R&D room so quickly, and way before Hunt did?

My guess is that the scenes were filmed at much different times in the shooting schedule, maybe even days apart, and then edited together later, without thought of this little discrepancy.

You are wright.it should be included in Goof section.

So should your use of wright instead of right. Your use of this spelling is rong [wrong].

Probably more like weeks apart, since all the scenes on the factory floor were filmed at a Fiat plant in Argentina, and the scene in the design/R&D studio was probably shot on a soundstage in Los Angeles. It's easy to see how a continuity error like that can creep in.

SOMEBODY FIRE THE SCRIPT GIRL! Or guy -- a lot of men do that job now.
