They made it a point to show a lot of Mimi Roger's character in the beginning, and middle part, then all sudden they show her and her bf glance at each other at the town 4th of July, and she isn't seen again.
shareDid you turn the movie off at that point? There was a whole scene after Hunt admits that he made up the 13,000 cars raise where he and the girlfriend made up (when she found him with his head in the town cannon).
Maybe you watched an edited version on TV or something?
