Basil and Roger mannerisms
Hello!
I'm bringing this subject up because it was a bit of Trivia I submitted months ago and it hasn't been added to the list yet! I'm starting to wonder if it's something IMDb doesn't agree with, so I wanted to ask everyone's opinion.
I've always thought Basil has a lot of similar mannerisms to Roger Radcliffe from "One Hundred and One Dalmatians," and it's appropriate to say this when Roger is also British! They also look alike; if Basil were human, he'd probably have the same features as Roger! Well, let me paste the bit of Trivia I submitted and you tell me if you agree or disagree with it:
In the scene where Ratigan teases Basil about his sailor costume ("Oh, by the way, Basil, I just love your disguise!"), Basil stands stiffly with brows lowered, pouted lips, and fists curled at his sides while Ratigan prances around him. Basil's stance is exactly mirrored from Roger Radcliffe in One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961) when Cruella DeVille shouts at him ("Why, you horrid man!") while he, in turn, remains perfectly still.
I studied the scene very closely and it sure does look like Basil is doing the same stiffly pose that Roger does when both of their enemies are hassling them. Let me know what you think!
