Anyone LOVE Ratigan?

This dude was so badass. He has to be one of the most evil villains in all of Disney. Just the way he constantly switches from gentleman to crazy man. The look on his face when he crushed the doll was just sick. And at the end of the movie when he goes absolutely insane is just awesome

hmm....i laughed at him. I thought he was funny with all his mood swings and his antics. With the exception of the end when he turns into a full rat. Then he's a little scary.

Vincent Price's acting skills place Ratigan in my Top 5 Favorite Disney Villains list.

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.

I'm a huge Vincent Price fan. I couldn't recognise his usual voice in Ratigan at first. But then the tell-tale intonation came through. Amazing how he altered his voice for this character.

I never had seen this film as a kid, and I really REALLY regret that. I finally saw it just yesterday, and I think Ratigan is one of my favorite Disney villains now. Definitely the best character in the movie.

He's probably on of the most underated Disney villains. Evn when I watched this movie as a kid I found him to be the most engaging character, though my favorite was probably Fidget.

i was totally reminded of al capone played by robert de niro in the untouchables. both are pretty frightening characters.

I love Ratigan, he is so theatrical. He's got a fountain that dispenses champagne... pink champagne... he plays harp... and not only does he make a huge, elaborate device to kill Basil because he couldn't decide on a way to kill him... he sets it up to take a picture of him, AND writes/records a song specifically for the occasion. That is some extreme hate, I love it. His song is also very much a prototype for the Gaston song.

Now, you will remember to smile for the camera, won't you? Say "Cheese". ~Ratigan

Joxer:

The 'device' to kill Basil is rather 'Dr. Phibes-ish' wouldn't you say? Except those actually worked...

Ratigan's trap would've worked. If Basil wasn't so dashed smart!

Oh, he's one of my favorite foes. Despite being the cruel and mean rat he is, I just can't help but love guys like him.

I did read on this site on Vincent Price's page that this role was his favorite. I thought that was really cool.

reply

I've read that this was Vincent Price's own personal favorite role too. It sounded as though he was really enjoying himself playing Ratigan.

reply

Heck yes I love him!!! Who doesn't? XD
He's just pure awesome - he's a genius, he's conniving, he's an all-around interesting character! ;)

I'm a straight teenage male, so would it be awkward to say that I have a crush on Padraic Ratigan? I think Padraic is the cutest Disney villain ever. Olivia isn't nearly as cute as Padraic!
