OK, ladies & gents--you know about the cuteness battle, now I wanna know who you think is the overall best of them...Basil or Ratigan?
As for me, it's a fine line between Basil & Ratigan!

Basil was cute, but like the original Sherlock could be incredibly deadpan.

Basil was a dick. I loved him as a kid, but watching it a bunch of years later i realized that i dont like his character much. my vote goes to Ratigan.

I CAN'T DECIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're both too good and thank God Disney has not made a sequel since it would be hard to make a worthy sequel to this film. Like Bambi, Dumbo, Robin Hood, Aristocats and Sword in the Stone and many others, they have so far left this one alone.

oh both, hands down, Ratigan is the best disney villain. Vincent Price...
But, I think if Basil was alone and they were both fighting in a cage, to the death, then Ratigan would win. He's just much more built. however, if it was any academic test - Basil would win. Ratigan is smart, but not as smart as Basil. And Basil is just not as strong as Ratigan. Case closed.
GOOD POINT...
Basil has the better Mental ability and RAtigan a better Physical ability.
Still they're both fantasic characters played by great actors

Basil totally wins! He acts so deadpan and aloof but is so whipped by Olivia. It's cute. Rattigan was creepy as. i know he was a rocking villain, but I could never have affection for anybody that...eeew. So yep, Basil all the way.

But Basil is my main mouse, not only my favorite Disney character, but my fave character of all time.

I love Ratigan as a villain (his mannerisms,how he doesn't like to be called a rat..) but still Basil would have to be my favorite character (with his super sleuth skills and charming personality)
oh and i love how he kept getting Olivia's last name wrong (like Dory with Nemo's name)
