help needed - is this the movie i think it is

i am trying to find the name of a movie i remember as a kid - all i can recall is a scene where a kid is playing a computer game and is really good at it (a racing game)and also a pat where there is a road block and a man and a boy that successfully get through it.

if anyone can tell me from these tiny details if this is the movie or not that would be great

Yeah sounds like D.A.R.Y.L., there is a scene in D.A.R.Y.L. when the Kid witht he computer chip in his head plays Pole Position really good.
