Song playing in the car

What is the song playing in the car with the teenagers that David ask for directions? David says maybe it's Twisted Sister, but i really don't think so.

I remember others have tried to find this out but had no luck. Chances are it was probably something composed for the movie just for that scene. It's probably not even a full length song.

Funkiste is absolutely right. What you hear is all there is of that song. It doesn't exist. Sucks because its sounds kinda cool.

I know exatly what you mean, don't know if you've seen the breakfeast club or not, but the joke that is being told by John Bender (Judd Nelson's chacter) while he was crawling in the air duct was all adlib and not a real joke. I was kinda disapointed when hearing this cuase I really wanted to know how that joke ended.

If it helps, it sounded like it was the talking heads

Talking heads? Interesting. It sounded for all the world like Oingo Boingo to me :-) (the 80s group with that composer fella)

There was a thread about this some time ago and I think someone even emailed one of the creators of the piece in question and was told it was composed solely for the film, and what you hear is all that exists.

I am more interested in the song and band that are on the 1st MTV video the kid sees. Lyrics are just, "No, no, no, no, no, no," but very Cure-like,

hey jparsons-12, the song David watched on MTV is "Lose Your Love" by Blancmange. its an actual song by a real band. kind of reminds me of Depeche Mode or something.

i love that whole scene in the movie, when David sees the video hes like "WTF!?" haha

until you find something worth dying for, you're not really living

Bizarrely, the song is replaced in early German TV versions, and replaced with 'Relax' by Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

Not sure what they were thinking with that, and why they thought the need to do it, what a waste of time.

The song "Trapped in My Mind" was performed by Steve Tyrell
Song was written by David Kitay, Charles Valentinol, Guy Moon and Stephanie Tyrell.

Hope this helps.
