Alan Silvestri ripped off his own movie...
Anybody ever seen Outrageous Fortune? Listen to the rhythm section in that movie and this movie. EXACT SAME THING. That's a really movie on Alan's part there.

shareHe also did it in another movie. I think it was the newish one with Adam Sandler(sp), the dream movie. Sorry, I don't recall the name. But in the preview it played the same score as in the menu for Back to the Future III. I guess, he figures he wrote it, why spend thousands of dollars to make a new score when he has this one that is good?
shareLet me add that I think Alan Silvestri "ripped" off Jan Hammer. Everytime I watch this movie the soundtrack really does sound like some of the stuff Jan Hammer did for The Minds Eye or Beyond The Minds Eye. Seriously, I don't think anyone ripped anyone off, just coinscidence.
shareNot only that but he recycled his own material by using the music when David is hiding in RALF on his way to the hanger and used it again in Young Guns 2.
If you expect the unexpected doesn't the unexpected then become the expected?
wow, do we need to talk about composer re-using their own themes?
Watch The Rock (Hans Zimmer) then watch the battle in the forrest at the begin of Gladiator, watch any Hans Zimmer scored heroic movie. You will notice some heavy re-usage lol
