scary sound effects! and Sarah Jessica Parker is so sweet

These sound effects are pretty unsettling. Thats one thing old movies were really good at: scary soundeffects, sometimes so scary that feel probably 10x worse than intended to, even if it's a bad comedy movie, sounds were scary and unnerving. Thats probably due the used equipment you would think, but it's more! People just had a lot more gut's these days

I care very much for sound effects (and music, sometimes even more than the movie itself)
And whenever I hear something that cool, I wonder how it's made.
Any ideas to ressource, technique, material?


And yeah, Sarah Jessica Parker is really sweet here as nurse. The first time she appears as caretaker for the 12 year old boy, there is some sexual tension. In fact, it's the only thing I think about. Wow they probably gonna do it soon
