I know I'm nitpicking..

But I always laugh at the part where the NASA goons come to the Freeman's home and the guy says "Dr. Faraday requests that you be confined to your house." Come on! They can't do that. The Freeman's should've called the cops and told them they were being held against their will. But its a movie after all. :)

I suppose even in those days the government had more power over the local cops and would have just sent them away.

Yeah to me it's quaint to think that a bunch of wimpy nasa guys would be in charge of the whole thing. More likely it would be some agency like the CIA or military.. Who wouldn't think twice about kidnapping or 'erasing' inconvenient people. It wouldn't be guys in suits at the door, more like paramilitary guys with assault rifles.

Considering the kind of military secrecy surrounding our nuclear program, I imagine a captured ufo would be of even more importance to the military. That's the only reason I think it might be possible that SOME agency out there may have recovered an alien craft at some point. Not saying I know for sure or even think it's probable.. But if few enough people were in the loop, it's possible it could have remained a secret this long. If you want some interesting reading google bob lazar. Wether it's true or not, it makes a pretty entertaining story!
