I hear really good reviews from everyone about this movie (which I also watched when it first came out and I was only 11)...if you guys liked this movie I HIGHLY recommend Cinema Paradiso. It's an Italian movie but it'll make you cry and leave you with a feeling of nostalgia. The soundtrack to it (which is instrumental) is also unforgettable. Try it out!!!

The only movie I've seen that has a similar feel is a 1987 Australian movie called The Year My Voice Broke staring Noah Taylor. It's bittersweet, nostalgiac and haunting and the characters have great chemistry. Lots of people have seen the sequel to it, Flirting which stars Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts.
