I thought this movie had a few funny parts in it. Like when the daughter is in the car with her dad and she just says her boyfriend does weed and coke like it's no big deal. And when the bum falls in the pool, the father goes running through the house screaming "call 911!" and nobody even reacts until he jumps in the pool himself lol. Other than that though, I didn't think this movie had anything in it to make it a spectacular comedy or even a parody or commentary on Beverly Hills. Still enjoyable nonetheless.

Did you also notice when he's screaming call 911 he has the phone in his hand? it also floats in the pool next to him and he's still screaming call 911

How about the part involving the party when Dreyfuss finds out Nolte had sex with his daughter and he runs after him around the mansion and they end up in the pool? Then you have other people jumping in, Midler is screaming, "Call 911!" and the dog presses the alarm (second time in film he does it). Then a cigar is thrown against some sort of fireworks that go off. And through all this, Little Richard is sitting at the piano, playing.
