The Dog
This has been bugging me since I watched the movie, but is Matisse (the dog) the same one used in the movie "Flight of the Navigator"?

shareI'm pretty sure it is. There can't be many dogs with one blue eye in movies. I actually came here looking for information on him, to see what other movies he's been in, but he's not credited.
shareI also think that dog played Kincaids dog "Jason" in A nightmare on Elm Street 4.
"Carol Anne, go into the light"!
Actually, this phenomenon is not all that rare with dogs: "The blue eye occurs within a white [fur] spot, where melanin is absent from the skin and hair" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heterochromia_iridum#In_other_organisms ).
This has little to do with the subject of what movies the dog was in but my husband & I think that he should've gotten at least an Oscar nomination!
shareI thought the dog might be the same on ein the Flight of the Navigator. But I also remember seeing the trainer/owner of Mike the Dog. He said that Down and Out in Beverly Hills would be their last movie. He said that the dog didn't enjoy the work. He said it was Mike's choice. Not his.

They're not the same color. The one in Down and Out In Beverly Hills is black, the one in Flight of the Navigator is brown. They're not even the same breed - the one in Beverly Hills is a border collie, the one in Flight of Navigator is an Australian Sheppard.
and ftr : both of those breeds are known to have one single gray eye on occasion. It's not rare at all.
