Lee Marvin WAY TOO OLD !!!

Lee Marvin looks so old in this film, I was constantly worried he was going to have a heart attack (which he actually did about a year later--and died). The idea that someone that old would be part of an elite military commando unit is absolutely ABSURD and LAUGHABLE !!

In fact, this entire film is laughable. It has all the production qualities of an episode of "Walker, Texas Ranger". Which is appropriate, since it also stars karate man Chuck Norris.

Too bad Sylvester Stallone was not around for credibility.

That might explain why he spent most of the time standing around and worrying for Norris. Pure drama!

Marvin was rather lame casting for this film, he should had been a commanding office rather than a commando!

I watched it this morning on Netflix and I thought the same thing. I usually don't get stuck on stuff like that but he looked like he was struggling to keep up. I was shocked to learn he was only 62 when this came out. He looks much, much older than that. My father is 70 and my FIL is in his 80s and both of them are in much better shape than Marvin appears in this movie.

Truth be told, I think older men are more attractive and fit the "real men" prototype much better than later generations. I know my father can still bench press quite a bit and not too many people want to take him on in a fight. I'm not saying there are no manly men nowadays or that all action heroes from yesteryear held up well. I just think Marvin is a bit too old in this particular part, not in general.

How true you are.. I find older guys more appealing to watch when it comes to action, thrillers and such.

And Marvin wasnt too old he just looked too old and he was sick.

How stupid is that? If you LOOK too old, then you are too old !!
