shareHow different is the book from the movie, and vice-versa?
shareIt's fairly different. First thing, all the kids are in their very early teens, about 13 or 14 I believe. Samantha was a bit younger, about 11 or 12. B.B. was killed by a different person, and Elvira was killed differently. Sam shows signs of decomposition as the book progresses, and the ending is very different. Also it explains a lot more on why Paul and Jeannie moved to another town. The book is a great read, you should try and find it.
shareThe novel shows elements of brilliance but it was a grueling read. It drags on for so long; you always wonder why things happen and sometimes they're explained but most of the time they aren't. The only really good scene is the ending on the bridge (I do agree with others on that). Save yourself a lot of time and just read the last chapter.
