like the new artwork? or More like Westworld?

Hi peeps just got the region 1 dvd of Deadly Friend the picture image is near perfect! It only has a trailer on it but thats all there is really. Its in "Matted" widescreen Not really over keen on the artwork looks very much like Westworldish kind of art. Anyone think that? Though saying that there is a couple of interesting pics at the back, one where Sam has a long dress though it looks more like the dress what Carrie wore. But one very small pic where you see sam in her "Robotic" state infront of Paul and his Mum. Thats about as much detail there is on the box in terms of pictures. What do you guys think of the new artwork?

I would of prefer to stick to the original one or even the UK version.

I haven't got my copy yet but I've seen the front cover art and it sucks. I prefer the UK VHS artwork which features a full colour illustration of Sam with a tear rolling down her face, looking out of a shattered window.
I just knew there wouldn't be any extras, bastards!!

I don't like the cover. I was googling Deadly Friend images, yesterday, and came across an old French poster for the movie that is very similar to the new DVD cover:

And I hate seeing pictures of scenes that aren't in the movie! It's so frustrating, like they're saying, "Here are some pictures of deleted scenes, and that's all you're gonna get!" The movie feels a little rushed, so you know that there were probably a bunch of scenes that got cut. Does anyone know if there were extra scenes when shown on TV?

There's rumoured to be a directors cut. I might email Warners and see if they have plans to realease it. The new cover art is terrible.

I like the back cover of the box where it shows Sam wearing a gown. It's seems to be the same gown Sam was touching. It is seen hanging in the attic. I am very happy over my copy of Deadly friend.

The cover is a joke. That's not even Swanson's face.

I think there must be some cut scenes. Its very odd how the movie is exactly 90 mins. There must be a whole sequence w the dress because it is always visable in the attic scenes. She touches when paul takes her up there, then it is hanging up later.
