Am I Missing Something????? The Ending???

I buy movies all the time VHS and DVD's some I don't never get to watch before I get rid of them lol.

Anyway the other day a old local video store are finally starting to sell their collection of VHS movies and they had a bunch of scary movies some of them been out of print for awhile one being Deadly Friend. Is there other versions of the movie on VHS. Because the one I got at the end when Paul is going back to get Sam once again her asking is breaking away into BeeBee. You can't see it but you can hear off camera Paul screaming and then a neck breaking. Does he dies in one of the versions of the film?

This is the first time that I have seen this and haven't heard of it until I saw it at the store with others like Mausoleum

Thanks for the info and about my VHS version the basketball death seem pretty violent to me for a old movie. Unlike any other that I have seen before like this. I don't know the movies wasn't the greatest thing for a hit horror film but I loved it and can't believe this was the first time I watched it

I didn't have a problem with Sam killing Paul at the end, but with the robot coming out of her didn't make sense and didn't go well with the scene before.

Maybe the vision of the robot coming out of her was a hallucination induced by lack of oxygen to the brain.

The ending had to be the stupidest ones I ever seen! I was hoping they would show him waking up, but nope they just ended it right there!

Seriously, is it just me or did the evil BB look like an evil Power Ranger? :P

Thwew is a lot of movies endings that is stupid but some of them are still kind of cool just something that you didn't expect happening. Well this movie wasn't one of them.

Never thought of BB looking like a Power Ranger but now that you mention it he does.

I never did understand the ending to this one either. It really does have a WTF? factor to it.

It's a dream sequence.

It's a sad thing that your adventures have ended here

It's an ending to make you try to figure out what happened. Same thing with the movie, "The Black Hole".

Anyway, the part with BB coming out of Sam is most likely a dream. Paul is in bed dreaming this. Once it switches to outside, it's real. Sam is by Paul's bed with her hand around his throat and breaks his neck while he's screaming from the horror of the dream. Sam's body was decaying, so what's left of her wasn't going to survive much longer. Killing Paul was the only way to keep him from trying to resurrect her again. If they both are dead, they could live happily together in the afterlife.

Oh, and I believe it's "BB" that did the killing, not Sam. He's the one who's smart enough to stop Paul from making the same mistake again. He would believe Paul could be with Sam if he was dead. Also, this is why you hear, "BB." at the end. What happens after Paul is dead probably isn't important.
