I know this is going to sound odd for me to say this but if I were Paul, I would had Sam stayed in my house and not go back to her abusive dad. Anyone agree?

I would too. Why would you let a beautiful girl like that go home to her abusive father. Just stupid.

I agree, but probably cause he can just call the cops and make her cop home. You could say he did something, but it be up to her to prove it. And in the one scene where she comes to the house with a bloody nose she says he's still my dad, even if i wanna run him over.

How would you do that? The dad surely would have went over to Paul's house knocking on the door in a drunken rage and would have tried to do something about it.

Hey abuse is a crime. Sam's dad was abusing her physically

Yes, but I can imagine him being the type who would deny everything and use the right words to get away with it. After all, he said "I told her not to leave her stuff on the stairs" after Sam died, and everyone (except for Paul, his Mom, and Tom) seemed satisfied with that.
