Where's the sequel?

I remember this movie ended in opening, asking for a sequel? There is really a sequel? If there's not, why wasn't made?

I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel to this chessy classic.

As long as Bebe the robot returns to kill, I'll see it.

Maybe Craven can direct, since he hasn't made a good movie in so long.

I know exactly what you mean about the ending. some believe Sam was turning into a Robot under the skin and broke Paul's neck. She does say at the end come with me Paul.

I don't see how it's possible for a chip to slowly transform someone into a robot. In my opinion the ending was a dream, that would be ignorant on the part of Wes Craven if the end wasn't meant to be reality.

If a sequel was to be made, they would have to pull of a "dream sequence", similar to the infamous episode that resurrected Bobby Ewing on Dallas. Paul can wake up from a dream in-between the killings and Sam's death.

a computer chip can't bring the dead back either but it did. The ending was crappy but I think Sam/BB killed Paul, so they wouldn't be alone.

You don't need any of that crap for a sequel.

Are you forgetting how the first Nightmare on Elm st ended? And how many sequels have there been since?

I don't know, dude. If TRON can have a sequel coming out (called TR2N) 29 years after its original release, who's to say that there won't be one for, "Deadly Friend"?
