This movie is a great example of my point

That the #1 important thing to a great movie is a good script.

This movie has great acting, a great director, great camerawork. But the actual story is quite weak. And that's why as much as I appreciate this movie on an artistic level, it just doesn't deliver the goods.

It should be against the law to use "LOL" unless you really did LOL!

Well put, sir. I love this movie, but can tell something is a little, let's say, off. Stylistically, this film is superb bit it's hampered by some uneven scenes. The camera work is gritty, like another post on here had said. The smokey poolroom scenes are so atmospheric that you almost feel like you're there. I love the scene in the beginning as Eddie keeps being distracted by Vincent's breaking. But the scene where Eddie is being hustled by Amos as Muddy Water's "Still a Fool" is playing in the background has to be my favorite. But between fantastic scenes like theses are other scenes that seem to drag. With that being said, I can only hope I look as half as cool as Paul Newman when I'm sixty.
