pool cues used in the film 1 joss 2 balabushkas

many people believe the wrong theory about those pool cues used in the making of this movie . I would like to claifie a few misconceptions .
1 yes it is a joss 1986 that paul newman gives tom cruise not the balabushka.
2 balabushkas were used in many scenes through out this production .
jeffry r renfrow the property master contoled they're possession through out
production and post production. I can only share the stories with everyone interested . to date jeff passed away in 2003 . yes I do have first hand knowledge .jeff was my brother in law.

They are making new Balabushkas now: maybe not as iconic as the originals, but WAY cheaper!

Yes sir I do Realize that ! there is a story to be told about those particular Cues though . the truth of the Matter is Paul Newman did in reality toss the Balabushka to Tom cruze . and Not the fable that is being passed around that it was a Joss .. a Good Man whom worked on the Production of Said Movie . Purchased the Pool cues from the set . his Name is Jeff Renfrow .

I'm confused - your 2013 post above seems to contradict your earlier original 2012 post?

Anyway, here's what the josscues.com site has regarding cue used - a reproduction of the original Joss cue made for Newman & Cruise was in the Joss Custom Series Brochure produced in the late 80's early 90's:

http://www.josscues.com//cue_archives/Archive/html/custom/custom_home. html

Clicking on the View cues "->" takes you to the Custom Series Models, #'s N1 to N20 or via
http://www.josscues.com//cue_archives/Archive/html/custom/N01.html directly,

where clicking "N7" takes one to "The Color of Money" cue, Model # N7, or via
http://www.josscues.com//cue_archives/Archive/html/custom/N07.html directly -

A picture of the butt with the description "The Color of Money" cue is reminiscent of the design that Joss made for Paul Newman and Tom Cruise in this award winning movie. Sold for $590.00. - and that was more than a quarter century ago!

Joss's claims are in fact false .
Search Balabushkas sold in chicago you will see tom cruse holding the cue mentioned , so how can Joss make such a claim $$$$

reply

I have a Joss cue... does that mean it's really a Balabushka?

reply

No ,I am not trying to pull your leg either .

reply

Oh, well, it shoots OK anyway! ;)
