Meh

I've seen all of Scorsese's films except for Kundun, Boxcar Bertha, Bringing out the Dead, and After Hours. Out of all of his films, I gotta say that I like this one the least. No disrespect to people that enjoy it, I don't think it's that great. It didn't really get interesting until the second half. What are you all's opinions on it?

"Meh" to your opinion.

Don't you mean "The Last Temptation of Christ"?

To this day, my wife despises Willem Dafoe because of his role in what she deems to be a blasphemous movie. I saw and did not think it all that bad, despite the controversy.

Yea for some reason I enjoyed this film more than his most recent Wolf of Wall st. It's certainly a good film, not quite as intense at his others. You have to give credit to Scorceses approach as well as the acting. It's pretty top notch.

Ps.

Probably the best pool flick of all time

After Hours...hands down his worst. There's a reason it has slipped into obscurity. It's sh!t and he knows it.

TCoM could have been very very good but Scorsese made it out of obligation to finance something else. It was work for him, not art. The lazy plot contrivances and really really bad exposition and dialogue are evidence of how disinterested he was in this.
There are some really cringeworthy scenes and elements in this film.

And the music? The best? I had to chuckle when I read that. This soundtrack is abysmal.
