i love this movie but there's something so hollywood about it that ayla has pearly white teeth and a fresh scrubbed face through the whole thing and all the others have corn teef and look like they have never washed in their life.

It was a movie meant to showcase Darryl Hannah and capitalize off of Auel's works, which were extremely popular at the time.
