Looks scarier than it really is

does anyone think they made the packaging of the movie look scarier to appeal to the slasher flick fans because the directors might have known it was bad before they even released it and had to "dress it up" a little to make horror fans want to see it? Hey they had to make money somehow

My wanting to see it the first time back in the 80's had nothing to do with the packaging. And even back then I wasn't expecting to be scared by a movie about robots in a shopping mall, it just looked like good fun. Which it was.

My head hurts, my teeth itch, my feet stink, and I don't love Jesus.

I think horror was going in a new direction, or at least trying to.

The concept was alright but after a while it becomes an action movie of
sorts. Genre mixing is sometimes a hit or miss. Here it didn't quite work.

But I do like the movie. Awesome kills cool looking mall.
