i saw this in the 80's and i can only remember the girl killing the robot at the end of the film, but also remembering their been 3 killbots. i also remember their being a killbot scene after the credits which i think means that someone should make a sequel to this gloriously cheesy classic!

The other 2 Protectors (aka killbots) were both destroyed. #2 was trapped in an elevator and then the teenagers blew it up with propane tanks.
#3 was destroyed when mirrors reflected it's laser shot back at it. After that it started shorting out & shooting wildly and one of the girls was killed. Her boyfriend got pissed and crashed a electric cart into #3 destroying it but killing himself in the progress.
Yeah there was a small scene after the credits but if I remember right it was just one of the robots saying "thank you, have a nice day". Not really a hint for a sequel.
^^ the scene you're talking about is probably before they get killed, it's just something they used to make it look like even cheesier and fun! =PP
