So back in the 80s the local sporting good stores in the mall carried M-16's

Things were different back in the 80's. we did not have people with mental illness shooting up at grade schools, college campuses at major universities, high schools, or movie theaters like we have now.

There were still gun stores in malls, yes. I can remember being on holiday in Texas and seeing them.
