I will second that, having seen the film last year on a cheap multi-pack DVD edition. The only reason I even wanted it was to see Mary Woronov and Paul Bartel play the Blands one last time. The film was only intermittently entertaining in its trashy way, but not so entertaining I would want to see it once every 30 years. Fairly good 80's horror flicks like The Fog, Halloween 3: Season of the Witch, and Terror Train, I would willingly buy on Scream Factory, but Chopping Mall had little that I looked at with affection as I do those flawed but far more interesting films. $40 is outrageous for such a forgettable work. At such an inflated priced, I surmise the release will only attract the few dozen or so men-boy geeks willing to pay that bloated price.
